There is a new poster that has been released today for the upcoming film Never Let Me Go by director Mark Romanek (ONE HOUR PHOTO). Based on the acclaimed 2005 novel by author Kazuo Ishiguro, this is firing up to be one of the best dramas of the year. Here’s the synopsis:
As children, Ruth, Kathy, and Tommy spend their childhood at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school called Halisham. As they grow into young adults, they find that they have to come to terms with the strength of the love they feel for each other, while preparing themselves for the haunting reality that awaits them.
The great thing about this poster is the sense of dread which can be seen at the end of the trailer and how it almost looks as though one of the figures is looking back over their shoulder to check on whatever is chasing them. NEVER LET ME GO stars Andrew Garfield (the newly cast Spider-Man), and Academy Award nominees Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan, with screenplay by Alex Garland (writer of SUNSHINE and 28 DAYS LATER…). With Alex Garland’s involvement in bringing this novel to the screen and a cast filled out by two of the most recently talked about actors in Hollywood, it should be a great day at the cinema.
