Something creeps me out about the new YOGI BEAR poster that Yahoo just debuted. I can only assume that Yogi and Boo Boo violently devoured a group of innocent tourists at Jellystone and are now feasting on their picnics, bones. Or maybe I’m just looking into it too much. Either way, that’s a lot of picnic baskets.
As you can tell, YOGI BEAR will be hitting theaters this coming Christmas (December 17). The animated film stars Dan Aykroyd, Justin Timberlake, Tom Cavanagh, Anna Faris and Andy Daly. A trailer will be debuting later today so make sure you check back in to hear how great Aykroyd’s Yogi voice is.
Here’s a full plot synopsis of the film:
Everyone’s favorite pic-a-nic basket-stealing bear comes to the big screen in “Yogi Bear.” Jellystone Park has been losing business, so greedy Mayor Brown decides to shut it down and sell the land. That means families will no longer be able to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors — and, even worse, Yogi and Boo Boo will be tossed out of the only home they’ve ever known. Faced with his biggest challenge ever, Yogi must prove that he really is “smarter than the average bear” as he and Boo Boo join forces with their old nemesis Ranger Smith to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever.
Yogi Bear vs. the recession! I like it.
