Neeson is AN ORDINARY MAN

It seems that the career of Liam Neeson couldn’t get an hotter right now.  He steals the show in THE NEXT THREE DAYS, He voices Aslan in THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER later this month and has the thriller UNKNOWN coming out in February.  Now we hear from Variety, that he has added Brad Siberling’s AN ORDINARY MAN to that list.

So let me get this straight.  We have seen A SERIOUS MAN and A SINGLE MAN last year.  Now we have AN ORDINARY MAN.  This is bound to confuse many on the video aisle at Blockbuster (including yours truly, right now)

He’s hoping to take the lead in a low-budget indie project that director Brad Silberling is trying to set up, “An Ordinary Man.” The role would be a rare departure to the dark side, a fugitive war criminal modelled on former Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic who’s being hidden by his supporters.

Neeson also has small roles in THE HANGOVER PART 2, BATTLESHIP, and (groan) CLASH OF THE TITANS 2.   In January, he will start shooting Joe Carnahan’s THE GREY and then he’s committed to play a sheriff on the U.S./Mexican border in Ji-Woon Kim’s LAST STAND.  The cinematic presence of Neeson, makes any film that much better.  It will be great to see him play a darker role.  I’m happy for his success and hope we continue to see his career dominate at the box office.

He's been working SO much since his wife passed away. At first I think he was deliberately trying to keep busy, but now he's just on a roll! I *heart* Liam Neeson!
