Does Matt Damon have to be running in every poster he’s in? Maybe it’s just because the BOURNE trilogy but it seems like Damon is racing through every one-sheet he appears on. It’s no wonder he looks out of breath in this one.
The psychically-fit Damon and the equally-healthy Emily Blunt are front and center on the new posters for THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU. As much as I like both of those actors, this new poster (and its UK counterpart, posted below) isn’t very good. It looks like something NBC would use for a new TV series. And I might be wrong but I really, really doubt Damon or Blunt were on that rooftop. Call me a conspiracy theorist but I think they’re super-imposed.
THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU plot is as follows:
On the brink of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate, ambitious politician David Norris meets beautiful contemporary ballet dancer Elise Sellas — a woman like none he’s ever known. But just as he realizes he’s falling for her, mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart. David learns he is up against the agents of Fate itself — the men of The Adjustment Bureau — who will do everything in their considerable power to prevent David and Elise from being together. In the face of overwhelming odds, he must either let her go and accept a predetermined path… or risk everything to defy Fate and be with her.
See, that’s a great plot! It’s based on a story by Philip K. Dick, that should get you excited. I want to see the movie just not these crummy posters. But I guess images of Matt Damon running gets people in the theater.
THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU opens March 4.
Here’s that UK poster:
Thanks to IMP Awards for the posters.
