Deadline is reporting that for the 3rd year in a row Warner Bros takes the top spot in market share. The official numbers haven’t been released yet but the order will be Warner Bros, Paramount, Fox, Disney, Sony, and then Universal. Hollywood.com is saying that attendance for 2010 is the second lowest grossing year of the decade, next to only 2008.
Is this a sign of the rising ticket pricing or the bad economy? The movie theater industry still topped 10 billion dollars, so at least we know movies aren’t going anywhere, hopefully this also means better quality films in the future as well.
