SCREAM 4 poster combines the new with the old

Perhaps the best (only?) road to success for SCREAM 4 is to remind folks of the genuine thrills found in the first SCREAM nearly 15 years ago. What better what to make people nostalgic than to replicate the poster from the original film?

As you can see, the new SCREAM 4 poster (courtesy of Yahoo! Movies) is very similar to the posters for SCREAM, SCREAM 2 and SCREAM 3. Scared pale face, white number in front of it. The only difference this time is the addition of Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere to the cast list, a change that probably won’t excite too many. While only the first SCREAM was worth a damn, director Wes Craven and everyone involved is hoping you get sucked back into the series when the movie premieres on April 15.

Even though I’ve heard about all the problems on set and the trailer really didn’t do anything for me, I must admit that seeing that big, terrified blue eye gets me a little more intrigued. Still, expectations are low.
