Shooting has gotten under way for ROCK OF AGES. Just a few hours ago, Director Adam Shankman tweeted a photo of Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand from the set of the movie musical. It looks like the 70’s style has carried over into the 80’s.
Brand plays Lonny who runs the ’80s rock club The Bourbon for owner Dennis (Alec Baldwin). Brand and Baldwin get to sing a rousing version of the REO Speedwagon tune “Can’t Fight This Feeling.” As with most awesome things Baldwin gets involved in (the Jack Ryan franchise, 30 ROCK), there had been rumors he wanted to drop out. This was later refuted. He even took to Twitter to joke about it over the weekend.
“Rock of Ages? What’s that?” Baldwin jokingly wrote. “Flight to Miami cancelled. Is it a sign?”
