Adam McKay and Will Ferrell about to SWEAR TO GOD

I can’t think of a better comedy screen team than director Adam McKay and actor Will Ferrell.  They are like a cinematic peanut butter and jelly sandwich, making tasty hits out of THE OTHER GUYS, TALLADEGA NIGHTS: THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY, and my personal favorite, ANCHORMAN.  According to Deadline, Warner Brothers is eager to pair this comedic duo together again to make SWEAR TO GOD, a buddy comedy in which Ferrell plays a narcissistic hedge fund manager who thinks he has seen God.

The script is written by Alan Cohen and Alan Freedland, who wrote the semi-successful DUE DATE for the studio. No word on who will play Ferrell’s buddy in the film either, but I would suspect phone calls are currently being made to former co-stars John C. Reilly and Mark Wahlberg.

Are you eager to have your funny bone tickled by McKay and Ferrell again?  Is this something you’d be interested in seeing?  Weigh in below.
