It wouldn’t be a Paul W.S. Anderson film without Milla Jovovich doing crazy jumps in slow motion.
Here’s your first look at Anderson’s amped up adaptation of the classic French novel. Yet this movie doesn’t look very classical. Instead it’s filled with flying war machines, loud explosions, an accent-free Logan Lerman and lots of slow motion. But so be it, who was actually expecting a completely faithful and stuffy movie?
Since we’re all dedicated readers, we know that the film will be about the young D’Artagnan as he joins forces with three legendary swordsmen to take down the evil bastards hellbent on overthrowing the crown and taking over France. Plus, you know, swordfights.
Here’s something interesting I noticed: the end of the trailer advertises that the film will not only be in 3D but also in “2D theatres”, something that was hardly mentioned in older trailers. It’s as if studios are finally realizing how fed up some folks are getting with the expensive price of 3D tickets. Who could have seen that coming?
THE THREE MUSKETEERS opens October 14th.

Only thing I don't like is the tangled up mess of a necklace...I saw one on Michelle Obama and was not crazy about it then. Am I being too old fashioned? I think the eye wanats to make sense of it and so it draws too much attention. IMHO http://bit.ly/kWKV5d
