Since I’ve decided to turn #StabbyTuesday positive, I will have to make this next bit of casting news brief. According to The Hollywood Reporter, hunky actor Rodrigo Santoro (300) has signed on to star alongside Jennifer Lopez in the film adaptation of the pregnancy manual, WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU’RE EXPECTING.
Santoro will play a Lopez’s music business hubby (sounds a little like her real life husband, Skeletor Marc Anthony doesn’t it?), who isn’t quite ready to have a child but goes along with his wife’s plan to adopt. EXPECTING is eying a production start in Atlanta later this summer.
Santoro joins the ever growing cast list that includes Chris Rock, Matthew Morrison, Cameron Diaz, Anna Kendrick and Brooklyn Decker. Since I’m not even sure how the studio is planning to adapt a how to book, there’s no telling how many roles are left. Gasp! We could be subjected to casting updates for weeks to come (ala THE HUNGER GAMES). Quelle horreur!
