I guess a David and Goliath movie is being made and I guess Taylor Lautner and Dwayne Johnson have been offered those respective roles by Relativity. The film, to be directed by Scott Derrickson, is titled GOLIATH.
Heat Vision says that these talks haven’t yet evolved into actual negotiations. Both stars ask for hefty paychecks so that will have to be worked out before either actor will sign. If Lautner and Johnson don’t work out, Relativity has other actors in mind.
The film is pitched as an action flick of biblical proportions. It will of course concern the giant warrior Goliath who does battle against the brave shepherd David. Yeah, that’s right, they want Taylor Lautner to play David.
The Johnson casting would be good – if not a big obvious. While Lautner would bring in the young audience, I still don’t think he’s right for the role. Isn’t David supposed to be rather weak and small? Isn’t that the moral of the whole story, that the small can vanquish the big? Lautner is a beefy young man. While he couldn’t hold his own against Johnson, he could definitely put up quite a fight.
