It seems like Hollywood has a renewed interest in epidemics and I couldn’t be happier about it. If all the upcoming viral thrillers are as wonderful as CONTAGION than this is one genre show business can beat like a dead horse.
While Soderbergh’s latest was a no-nonsense telling of what the world would face in a pandemic, David MacKenzie’s (YOUNG ADAM) upcoming PERFECT SENSE is a love story set against the backdrop of an unstoppable virus. Even though it sounds like it would be quite scary, the movie looks rather gentle in an unnerving, bittersweet way. The film stars Ewan McGregor and Eva Green, two of the most charming performers around. It’ll be fun to watch them fall in love and then promptly fight for survival.
This a gorgeous, well made trailer, full of beautiful music and just the right amount of plot. I’m a sucker for love stories and post-apocalyptic movies so PERFECT SENSE seems like the movie for me. What do you think?
