It’s De Niro Vs. Travolta in KILLING SEASON

Have you ever wanted to see Robert De Niro and John Travolta fight to the death? Well, you’re in luck.

Millennium Films announced that both actors have signed on to star in KILLING SEASON for director Mark Steven Johnson (DAREDEVIL, GHOST RIDER). The thriller is slated to begin filming in January.

Here’s Millennium’s description of KILLING SEASON:

“Killing Season” is an action movie set in the Appalachian Mountains about an American military veteran (De Niro) who has retreated to a remote cabin in the woods. When a rare visitor, a European tourist (Travolta), appears on the scene, the two men strike up an unlikely friendship. But in fact the visitor is a former Serbian soldier bent on revenge. What follows is a tense, action packed battle across some of America’s most forbidding landscape that proves the old adage: the purest form of war is one-on-one.

While that doesn’t sound like a bad idea for a film, the talent involved makes most a little concerned. Mark Steven Johnson inspires confidence in very, very few people. As for De Niro and Travolta, they’ve been hit-or-miss for the last decade or so. And I don’t want to think about Travolta’s European accent.

However, this could be a blast. The two leads have wowed us before obviously and, given the right script, this could be the thrilling battle royale Millennium promises.
