Every time we seem to turn around, there is another hugely popular book being made into a film. The latest in this ongoing trend to separate teens from their money is, THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER. However, this project is directed and written by the novel’s author himself, Stephen Chbosky.
Based on Stephen Chbosky’s best selling novel that has sold over a million copies in the U.S., THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER is a modern classic and seminal book that has become that rare novel to define a generation and move people with it’s humorous and heartbreaking coming-of-age story. According to imdb, the film tells the story of an introvert freshman being taken under the wings of two seniors who welcome him to the real world.
The film features an incredible cast of rising stars including Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Paul Rudd, Dylan McDermott, Mae Whitman, Melanie Lynskey, Nina Dobrev and Ezra Miller. This cast has me at “hello.”
