Rating: Unrated
Studio: HBO
MSRP: $14.99, but Amazon has it for $10.99
Running Time: 126 mins

What’s Going On?

This is arguably the film that put Angelina Jolie on the map. It’s a biopic about troubled model Gia Carangi whose troubled life led to her early demise from AIDS. It’s a fascinating film about a very tragic figure with a great early performance from Jolie.

Who’s In It?

Angelina Jolie, Faye Dunaway and Mercedes Ruehl are among the names featured in this film.

If You Like…

Compelling biopics and great acting. It’s also an HBO film so you know it’s a quality made film.

Special Features:

The Technical Gist:

Presented in 1.78:1. Which is a departure from it’s original presentation since it only ever premiered on television. It’s a great looking film and there is some visible grain some of the time but nothing that becomes too distracting.
The Verdict:
It’s a great film, and as a collector’s item should have had at least a few extras. Not being much of a collectors item I’d say this is worth a QUEUE, but at a relatively low cost it could make an attractive buy for some people out there.
