Those images from Empire magazine of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES have traveled all over the net, with fans speculating why Bane would be brandishing a picture of Harvey Dent (My guess at what Bane’s saying? “This is the sexiest man alive, People Magazine!”)
Now those images have popped up in high resolution, meaning you can spend more time dissecting them. I’m going to resist the urge and just let them be. Like others, I’d rather be surprised when I enter the theater on July 20th, I want the film as fresh as possible. I’m even torn about watching the prologue promised before certain screenings of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL. What’s a Batman fan to do?
But that’s not all on the TDKR front. Coming Soon has compiled (courtesy the Philippine Daily Inquirer) a list of glowing compliments Christian Bale made regarding his co-stars. My favorite is Bale’s opinion of Tom Hardy: “He goes the whole hog.” What more could you ask for?

On Anne Hathaway:
“I’m terrible at auditions, so I’m very impressed when somebody really seems to acquire an ownership of a character without having worked on it or prepared for some amount of time. I saw that in Anne. In many ways, she has the hardest job. There are a number of people who feel that the Catwoman role has been defined previously. So, I always saw Anne’s role as being the toughest job of any of us.”
On Batman:
“We always maintained from the beginning that if you wanted to break it down, there are three personas – Batman is sincere, the private Bruce Wayne is sincere. The public version of Bruce Wayne, the playboy, is a completely fabricated performance.”
