The casting news continues for Quentin Tarantino’s latest film DJANGO UNCHAINED. The newest person to join the high profile cast is Sacha Baron Cohen, reports Variety. Although the deal has not been finalized, it is very close to being negotiated. The actor, better known for his comedic roles like BORAT, BRUNO, and even SWEENEY TODD, will play a small role in Tarantino’s new film. The film also stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Chrtosph Waltz, the latter of whom won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his turn as SS Commander Hans Landa in Tarantino’s INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS. The film’s plot will follow an ex-slave (Foxx) on a mission to save his wife from her sadistic master. Cohen will play Scotty, who is a gambler and buys Django’s wife as a female companion. The Weinstein Co., which is releasing and producing the film, has plans to release it for December 25, 2012. Production is set to begin in early 2012.
