I love the face Ben Affleck makes when he’s really paying attention to something. That expression, seen above in the first image from his next directorial feature ARGO, is only enhanced by a bad ass beard. You must admit Affleck can rock a beard. Looking good, Ben.
The image doesn’t give us much more than Affleck’s pensive face and some a classified State Department document. Still, it’s nice to finally see something from the much hyped film. ARGO will mark Affleck’s third time directing, following the brilliant GONE BABY GONE and very good THE TOWN. This movie may end up being his biggest project yet, featuring a star-studded cast (Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Kerry Bishé, Michael Parks, Kyle Chandler) and the type of story that could garner some serious buzz.
The movie follows a group of CIA operatives posing as a movie production crew in order to save diplomats taken as hostages in 1979 Tehran. If the plot sounds confusing that’s because it is. No worries, we all have faith in Affleck.
ARGO opens in September.
