Sir Paul Smith Designs Special Edition Posters for TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY

Hey fashionistas and movie lovers!  Are you ready for your worlds to collide? Sir Paul Smith – who’s dressed The Beatles and the Rolling Stones and every other British pop rock band that was important in the 60′s and 70′s – not only created the men’s suits in director Tomas Alfredson’s highly anticipated TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY, but he also crafted a line of posters celebrating the film. And the proceeds go to charity!

The iconic fashion designer was inspired by the film to create four original silk screen printed posters. And it’s not hard to see why. The film’s stellar ensemble cast (which includes Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Ciaran Hinds, John Hurt and Mark Strong), combined with the film’s source material (espionage spy classic novel by John LeCarre) is enough to provide Smith with inspiration to last for years to come. Or at least – in the fast moving world of fashion – for one collection.

The limited edition silk screen posters will be numbered in editions of 50 and signed by Sir Paul Smith. Each print will retail for $160, and all the profits go to amFAR. You can get them at any Paul Smith store. Psst! To all you L.A. readers, the store is located on Melrose between La Cienega and Crescent Heights. And to the rest of you, get on this. This would be an excellent Christmas gift for any film memorabilia collector. For more information, and to find the location nearest to you, check out their website.

Many thanks to The Hollywood Reporter for the heads up on this.
