It’s no surprise that THE CABIN IN THE WOODS looks wonderful. The film is produced by Joss Whedon, co-written and directed by Drew Goddard and starring Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchinson, Fran Kanz, Jesse Williams, Bradley Whitford, and Richard Jenkins. Plus it’s meant to be a fun, scary horror film that toys with genre traditions. This movie a recipe for success!
Sadly, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS has been on the shelf for awhile. But now that Lionsgate has an April 13, 2012 release date for the film, we are finally seeing some footage. Today’s first trailer for the movie is really terrific and makes a tired story look exciting and fresh.
There are some pretty big reveals here, though, so if you want absolutely zero spoilers you should tread lightly. They don’t give too much away but you can start to see the outline of the plot.
Surprisingly, there’s no sign of either Jenkins or Whitford in the preview. What does that mean? Hmmmmm.
