That gorgeous teaser above is your first look at Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS, the much-hyped return to the world of ALIEN. In case you forgot, it’s a dangerous, scary world.
The trailer is light on plot and characters but heavy on mood and an overall sense of disaster and dread. So many questions: who are these people? Where are they? What are they doing? Is that giant spaceships (recognizable to any ALIEN fan as home of the space jockeys) friend or foe? Most importantly, what are they looking for and why might it cause their destruction?
This is a powerful, promising trailer. I can’t wait to see it on the big screen.
Ridley Scott’s career has had a couple missteps recently but it looks like PROMETHEUS might be a perfect blend of horror, sci-fi and the moody atmospheres that made him such a powerful name in Hollywood. I think every ALIEN fan is very happy to see him return to this universe.
