It’s finally here. The second trailer for Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has hit the web. I’m a huge die-hard Batman fan so I’m biased but I honestly think this preview is better than most full-length films. It’s quite stunning. Why can’t all trailers be this good?
Okay, enough gushing. Let’s talk about this thing. We’re finally starting to get a feel for the story and what’s at stake. In a word: everything. Gotham is under attack, new villains are emerging, Bruce Wayne and all that he loves is being threatened. And Gotham City’s football team isn’t having a good day either. There’s some haunting imagery in this trailer (specifically the poor person being dragged out from under a dresser by an angry mob). This movie isn’t messing around.
But since this is a Nolan film, we don’t see too much. The trailer is expertly edited to only give us glimpses of a much, much bigger movie. This thing looks absolutely massive.
A storm is definitely coming. Can. Not. Wait.
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES opens July 20. Watch the embedded trailer below or hop over to Apple to see it in HD.
