CONTEST: Enter To Win a Daniel Radcliffe Signed Poster from THE WOMAN IN BLACK!

Courtney Howard January 25, 2012 25

Squee! Folks, I’m just pleased as punch to announce our newest giveaway: a Daniel Radcliffe signed poster from his new movie THE WOMAN IN BLACK. The film looks especially creeptastic, as does the poster. Children with their eyes scratched out as a terrifying old lady phantasm faintly looms behind them – it sends tingles up and down my spine!

As this is probably one of the biggest contests we’ve ever held here at VeryAware, I’m expecting competition is going to be fierce! But don’t worry. We aren’t going to ask you to perform anything too scary, like go investigate a haunting or spend the night in a haunted mansion. Just a few simple requests to win this spooktacular prize:

First, make sure to follow us on Twitter: @VeryAw. Next, @mention us with the phrase, “Hey! @VeryAw Is Giving Away A Daniel Radcliffe Signed THE WOMAN IN BLACK poster! Follow & Retweet to Enter #TheWomanInBlack #WhatDidTheySee”. Also, feel free to share with us in the comment section below what scares the crap out of you. Get a bonus entries if you do all of these things! One winner will be picked at random on February 2 and contacted through Twitter on how to collect their winnings.  (Open to US residents only)

So go for it! You’ve got nothing to lose and a pretty cool prize to gain. Be sure to check out THE WOMAN IN BLACK in theaters on February 3!

****UPDATE**** This contest is now CLOSED. And the lucky reader who won is James Whitbord (@whitbord )! Congrats and enjoy the poster!

I’m intrigued by the eclectic roles that the HP cast has been taking on. Gothic horror, yeah.

The only thing that scares the crap out of me, when things jump out of nowhere and there is no music leading up to it. I also do not like scenes dealing with a mouth, i.e. Bite the pavement, chisel to gouge out teeth.

What scares the crap out me:

Tired starts when you can’t get up in the morning. When you can’t look your wife in the face and say good morning but there’s no way to avoid it day after day. When you have kids that you just don’t know how to support and you start losing the ability to care. When you have clients and you think, “ugh, not another f-ing one of these.” When you have to drive two hours to meet some shitty guy who you know is going to just get a free consultation out of you but you do it anyway.

Day after day. No day different. Maybe you had other dreams. but maybe you didn’t. Everyone told you that being a lawyer would make you a lot of money, would bring you safety. Safety that would protect you to death. But who are you going to make happy today? Your mother, because you are alive, her little baby? Your wife? Your kids? Your customers? The ones who appreciate your art? When will it finally matter? This is what scares me :)

    What scares me?

–Some of my students…only a few, to be honest, but there are some.

–The administrators of my school that make clueless after clueless decisions.

    –The future of our country.

    –Kids with missing eyeballs.

–I think that some of the dead people from American Horror Story just moved into MY basement!…

Dinosaurs scare me..well, they would if they really existed (I’m still not convinced they don’t).

Also, people with big feet kind of freak me out. The reason for that is because, quite often, the bigger the feet, the bigger the smell!!

One scene in The Woman in Black stage play still scares me, even though it’s been 10 years since I saw it. When I think of the scene where the woman ispeering over Kipps’ shoulder into the audience, I get goosebumps. Such a creepy play!
