It seems like no one is convinced that JOHN CARTER will be a success. The movie looks great but the cast isn’t A-list (yet), the property isn’t well known and it’s being released during a busy season. Will that have an effect? Maybe. But maybe audiences will want to watch something new and different (for once).
The new Spanish language poster (courtesy of Andromeda High) for JOHN CARTER isn’t heavy on the action. However, it is heavy on weird elephant-like alien beasts and that’s A-OK with me. There’s our hero front-and-center, mounted on his steed as he heads forward to save Mars. It’s a rather bland poster but it’s got the title in a big font up top and ensures audiences that the special effects will be impressive.
I don’t know about you but my eye was drawn to the guy in the lower right hand corner. I can’t tell if he’s adorable or terrifying.
