Founding member of the Upright Citizens Brigade and all-around funny dude Matt Walsh has been working on his highly improvised comedy HIGH ROAD for awhile now. We heard about the movie months and months ago without any idea of a release date. Now we have a trailer for the comedy and a date when we can watch it. Better yet, you can check out the film from the comfort of your own home on VOD.
HIGH ROAD follows a young pothead (James F. Pumphrey) as he goes on the run to avoid trouble. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast (Lizzy Caplan, Abby Elliott, Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, Joe Lo Truglio) makes his life even more complicated. It looks like a simple premise with a very talented cast and a comedy legend at the helm so there’s a good chance this movie could be very funny. The fact that nearly the entire film was improvised only makes it more interesting. You can get that improv vibe from the trailer, a lot of the dialogue feels off-the-cuff.
The film will debut on various media (iTunes, VOD, Blu-ray) on March 6th.
