The Coen Brothers are getting ready to go with distribution for their newest film INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS. The Pan-European company StudioCanal had gotten a hold on the pre-sales distribution, which will release the film in the UK, France, and Germany., reports Variety.
Taking place during the 1960s in ever rampant folk music scene within Greenwich Village, the film also was nabbed by distributors during pre-sales in Singapore (Show Organization), Greece Village), Hong Kong (Golden Scene.), Poland (ITI Cinema), Israel (Lev Cinemas), Taiwan (Blockbuster), the Czech Republic/Slovakia (Blue Sky Media), Yugoslavia (Blitz), Scandinavia (Mis Label), Australia/New Zealand (Village Roadshow), Switzerland (Ascot Elite), and Benelux (Belga Films).
Inspired by Bob Dyaln’s friend and fellow folk singer Dave Van Ronk, the film stars an ensemble cast including Oscar Isaac, Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman, F. Murray Abraham, Garret Hedlund, and Jeanine Serrales. The film was scheduled to start shooting in New York yesterday.
