As most of you already know, I was not crazy about ANOTHER EARTH. However, I did go bonkers over indie “it” girl (a former Wall Street analyst turned screenwriter-actress) Brit Marling’s performance. When I had first put this out on Twitter having caught that film at last year’s Los Angeles Film Festival, I was inundated with tweets from friends who’d been treated to seeing her other Sundance film, SOUND OF MY VOICE. All of them mentioned Marling’s VOICE was incredibly strong and that I mustn’t miss it. Well, the wait is almost over! And now, thanks to Fox Searchlight – the studio who acquired the film – we are being treated to seeing the first 12 minutes of the haunting film.
Make sure you pay special attention as the clip has “baked in” alternative content via interactive “hotspots.” This content will hint at story elements beyond the first chapter!

In SOUND OF MY VOICE, Peter (Christopher Denham) and Lorna (Nicole Vicius), a couple and documentary filmmaking team, infiltrate a mysterious group led by an enigmatic young woman named Maggie (Brit Marling). Intent on exposing her as a charlatan and freeing the followers from her grip, Peter and Lorna start to question their objective and each other as they unravel the secrets of Maggie’s underworld.
