The new trailer for Sacha Baron Cohen’s THE DICTATOR gives us more than the hint of story that the teaser trailer showed us mere months ago. Sure it starts out basically that same, with world leaders discussing an eminent threat – that threat being the dictator from the Republic of Wadiya. From there on out, everything changes. He undergoes a massive change in his outward appearance that renders him lost in an unfamiliar country. Left to wander the streets of the country he hates, we are left to assume he winds up learning a thing or two and softening his hatred.
Directed by Larry Charles, the film also stars, Ben Kingsley, John C. Reilly, and an almost unrecognizable Anna Faris. It hits theatres on May 11. Take a look at the trailer below and share your thoughts.
