If BATMAN BEGINS and THE DARK KNIGHT are any indication, then that poster you see above will be just one in a long line of promotional art heading our way for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. As the release date approaches, WB is going to bathe us in a whole lot of posters, banners and images. Buckle up, Batfans.
So what do you think of this new poster (courtesy of the film’s Facebook page)? While it’s striking and very exciting, I don’t think it’s as strong as previous one sheets. Actually, it feels like a compilation of a few Batman posters from the past. It’s as if the first teaser poster for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES had a baby with the color scheme of BATMAN BEGINS and previous art for THE DARK KNIGHT. Hey, I’m not complaining; I’d have a baby with those posters too.
So would you hang it on your wall or will you wait to see what else Warner Bros. has up their sleeve?
