What’s Going On?
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May live out every car lover’s dream on TOP GEAR, showing off some of the fastest, sexiest, and sometimes most broken down vehicles on earth. It’s a fun show that features celebrity guests, races, and more often than not, explosions.
Who’s In It:
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are the hosts of Top Gear, and this season, there are guest appearances from Ryan Reynolds, Michael Fassbender and Matt Smith, among others.
If You Like…:
Cars, driving fast, seeing things blow up, hilarity or seeing hosts accost their audiences, then check this out.
Special Features:
There’s an episode from the subpar US edition of TOP GEAR, Jeremy Clarkson observing fans, which is really him making fun of them, and Behind the Scenes with Celebrity Laps including Michael Fassbender driving a McClaren (because he’s not sexy enough), Richard Hammond driving a NASCAR racer and Richard and James May in a classic Bentley.
The Technical Gist
Colors are sharp and bright and everything’s crystal clear. Shame this release isn’t being released in the States on blu-ray. It would have really shone.
The Verdict
Although it’s a bit of a bummer there’s no blu-ray release for this, it’s a great show for lovers of cars and things that are awesome. Though this is the 18th season of the show, it’s a perfect way to get into the wild and crazy world of TOP GEAR. QUEUE IT.

The Season 18 episodes are great! Typical TG funny stuff, hot cars, exotic locations, big stars in cheap cars, lovely English birds all precisely placed by the show’s producers and standing about in the back line whilst James May is babbling on about God only knows what; or Richard Hammond is playing the diminutive elf to Clarkson’s oversized, American bashing, boring gentlemanly British arss. The US version of this show is sooo perfectly awful that I thought it was a parody until I found out that it is actually in production and being aired on some obscure American satellite television network. Oh God is it a stinker! The Box Set is a good one and I could care less about the unavailability of the BLURAY Version. Buy it! Buy it now!
