The stars always seem to end up near the gravitational pull of Woody Allen’s awesomeness. Yes, I realize my metaphor failed halfway through, but take a look at the cast of the neurotic auteur’s newest film and you’ll be lost for words as well. The Film Stage reports that not only is Alec Baldwin returning, after starring in Allen’s upcoming TO ROME WITH LOVE, but Cate Blanchett, Bobby Cannavale, Sally Hawkins, Bradley Cooper, Michael Emerson, Louis C.K., Andrew Dice Clay, Peter Sargaard, Max Casella, and Alden Ehrenreich will also be in the film. WHAT A CAST! Seriously, how awesome can you get?
While it has yet to be announced who most of these people will be playing, there are some small plot details that have been revealed about Sally Hawkins and Cate Blanchett’s characters. Hawkins will play “a neurotic who’s more fun and rough around the edges” and Blanchett will play “a sophisticated woman who has her life together”. Goodness knows what will happen from here. But what a cast! Great comediams, that guy from LOST, that guy from THE HANGOVER, Galadriel herself!
Allen’s newest film doesn’t have a title yet, but TO ROME WITH LOVE will be in theaters soon, starring Baldwin, Penelope Cruz, Jesse Eisenberg, Judy Davis, Ellen Page, and Roberto Benigni.
