Now that Batman has finished his story, we can look ahead to another DC superstar. Zack Snyder’s Superman tale MAN OF STEEL doesn’t open until June 14, 2013 but we are lucky enough to have two teaser trailer today, both of which played before this weekend’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
The trailers are exactly the same, the only difference is the voice-over narration. The top trailer (courtesy of MSN) has Russell Crowe speaking of Kal-El/Superman while the second trailer (from Yahoo) features the voice of Pa Kent (Kevin Costner).
Snyder seems to have significantly reeled in his usual style here. Many have commented that this looks more like Terrence Malick than Zack Snyder. While that’s true, you can bet MAN OF STEEL will features tons of high-flying action and feats of super-strength.
All in all, a great tease for next summer’s biggest film.
