The Alamo Drafthouse got PTA to come in and cut a clip that’s being used to promote their 70mm “special sneak screening” of the film this Monday (don’t even try getting tickets, they sold out in under an hour). In it, Freddie Quell (played by Joaquin Phoenix) gives his impressions of a series of Rorschach ink blots, revealing a rather “male” outlook on life.
It’s vulgar, hypnotic and yet again proves why this movie is the one to beat in 2012.
THE MASTER opens September 21.
