This is a horrible story but I can’t help but snickering. I know, I’m an evil sicko.
A movie theater in the UK made a massive error this weekend when it accidentally showed the beginning of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 to a family-filled audience sitting down for a showing of MADAGASCAR 3. As you can imagine, things didn’t go well.
While the theatergoers didn’t see much, they certainly saw enough. PA 4 starts with a flashback to the first film and features loud noises, jump scares and a bloody female body flying at the screen. That’s a far cry from Alex the Lion and his animated friends.
Things quickly turned to chaos as children and their parents ran screaming for the exits. Again, this is an awful mistake but you can’t tell me you’re not chuckling at the thought of these poor families fleeing the movie screen in terror.
The theater (Cineworld in Nottingham) quickly resolved the issue. They gave everyone refunds, played MADAGASCAR 3 shortly thereafter and blamed the entire episode on a “technical error with the projector.” Sure. I bet it had nothing to do with a demented projectionist looking to scar a bunch of innocent children.
Thanks to Yahoo for the story.
