Trailer Tracks: THE GREAT GATSBY

Welcome to Trailer Tracks, where we take a look at a new movie trailer and discuss what we see. Questions, comments, complaints – we’ve got it all. We have opinions, dammit!

Hey, it’s the first edition of Trailer Tracks! The idea here is that we will take a look at a hot new trailer and then nitpick, complain and talk about what we like. It’s like having a conversation…well, a one-sided conversation.

The first Trailer Tracks is all about Baz Luhrmann’s THE GREAT GATSBY. The director’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel has it all – Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, music by Beyonce! But more than anything else, it has Luhrmann’s classic look and feel – this is exactly how I imagined his version of THE GREAT GATSBY, bright and kinetic and bombastic.

I’m a Luhrmann fan and I like everyone involved so I’m ready for to go for THE GREAT GATSBY. Play the video above to hear more of my silly, childish thoughts.

PS. I don’t really think Tobey Maguire is adorable. I mean, he seems like a nice guy but…
